Step it up

This summer, I’ll conduct my first ever dance workshop! It’s just a 3-day workshop, different styles on each day.

In this event, my goal is to share my talents and skills to dancers, like me, who are eager to explore the world of dancing. I have learned so much for the past 3 years in attending workshops and I want my knowledge to be of help for those who are aspiring to be great dancers because that’s my dream too.

I invite EVERYONE to join me in this exciting experience!

Hurry, inquire now!!!

Dancing = Breathing for life

Yesterday I was in SM Masinag for the annual DAS mallshow. This year’s mallshow was my last because I had to stop taking workshops for my studies.

For a moment, I was watching everyone… every student, every dancer. I realized that I am surrounded by the people whom I share the same passion with: Dancing

It was hard for me, when my parents told me the previous year (2012) that it was my last year in DAS but somehow, I managed to accept it and just make the most out of my summer 2012.

Being a student for a year and a scholar for 2 years were the best years of my dancing career. If it weren’t for DAS, my dancing career would be meaningless.

Because of DAS,

I learned to love my gift, my talent that God gave me.

I learned to embrace my weakness and turn it into a strength.

I learned how to keep myself motivated, inspired, and determined.

I learned that in dancing, you’re not competing with the other dancers. You’re competing with yourself.

I learned to understand people, where they come from, and what dance is for them.

Where I am right now, it’s because of my DAS family.

I would like to thank the following people that made an impact to me:

Ate Ka, the owner and founder of DAS. You gave me several opportunities that I am grateful for. From letting me dance as you for the opening piece of the recital, passing me as a scholar of DAS, to the outside-studio performances. You are a gift from God and may He shower you with more blessings.

To all of the coaches I’ve encountered: Coach Jhong, Coach Glenn, Coach Louie, Coach Erik, Coach Jesse, Coach Ryan, Coach Rod, Coach Kris, Coach Joam, Coach Gio, and the rest of the DAS Coaches. Thank you for teaching me. All of you have made me a better dancer.

Advance B class 2010, Advance J 2010, Advance B 2011, Scholars 2011, Advance B 2012, and Scholars 2012. Thank you for being a part of my growing years.

Finally, to everyone. To DAS Family, thank you. I can not imagine my dancing career without you all. You all made a great impact not just on my dancing career but also on my life. I have learned so many things from you all and I wish you all good luck. I’ll miss you all. :(

God bless DAS. I will always remember you.

I dare myself

I’ve been eyeing this look for a couple of years now.

I went to Benefits Style Salon down Acropolis to get my hair colored by Ms. Arlene. My sister and my mom are her clients so we got along pretty well too. My original plan is to get this blonde shade but Ms. Arlene told me they had to bleach my hair. I didn’t want my hair to be that damaged since I’ll color it back in a few months. So we agreed to this shade of light brown.

So this is my “Before” picture.

I was kachupoy for a couple of hours. Lol

After!

And then I took a picture of the back view just to show you what it looks like.

Yes. I am crazy enough to do this. ;)

With a new look like this, I’ll be having so much fun experimenting on hairstyles and on outfits!

One time I was casually reading the blogs of other people and I saw Ms. Lissa Kahayon’s outfit post. On the same post, she also wrote about the Solemate shoes she was wearing and that the brand had a contest. I looked at the mechanics at details and I told myself,

“Why not?”

So I told my sister and her boyfriend (who is an awesome photographer) that I wanted to join the contest and that I needed their help. They agreed to help me and after a week, we did a photo shoot at my house.

Enough of my story, now it’s time for yours.

SUMMER 2013

Woooooohooooo It’s freakin summer! The perfect season to get tanned, change your hairstyle/color, go out with your friends or even spend more “me time”!

I finally have time to put my blog back up and running again. I have to say, my third year in High School is definitely one busy and challenging year. A tip for the incoming Juniors (and all of the people reading this): start practicing proper time management!

It’s good to be back, blogging about all kinds of stuff. Silly stuff, serious stuff, funny stuff, random stuff, Mrs. Puff, cream puff, Hufflepuff. Alright I’m done.
